Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles, also referred to as upvc door handles, have levers on each side to operate the multipoint locks. They are sold in pairs for both the inner and exterior door with screws and spindles included. They are also available in handed and unhandled versions for different users.

These locks can be used to replace the existing doors made of upvc. They are typically operated by lifting up the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks and turning the key to close and unlock. They provide a bit more security than traditional lever door handles since locking can only be done by the inside using the key.

Lever/Moveable Pad

This popular handle design is typically used for front doors. It is advantageous because it has the benefit of preventing the door being opened without a key from the outside if the lock has not been deadlocked. This is achieved by an external 'pad' handle that locks into the gap between the handles and lock case to prevent the latch from being removed or the victorian scroll door handles being opened.

This handle is designed to work with uPVC multipoint locks that use split spindle mechanisms. This type of operation requires the internal lever handle and the external pad handle to be fitted within the same lock case. This could be a straightforward replacement for the current uPVC handle, however it could also require a change in the lock case or a new set to handle furniture.
